About
OpenFloodgate is an online showcase for digital creations, including books, stories, articles, poems, memoirs, and more. It brings together publishers, authors, emerging artists, and enthusiastic readers.
We provide a forum for publishers to promote fresh material and for emerging authors to share their work with the world. Each author or publisher has his or her own page on OpenFloodgate that serves as an on-line portfolio. They have complete control over their work, deciding how to present it and who can see it.
For consumers, OpenFloodgate is a treasure trove. Anyone can cruise the site, finding fascinating fresh work from leading publishers as well as gems from emerging writers. Visitors can leave comments, add the work to a virtual bookshelf, and send recommendations to friends. They rank the creations and the best work - Cream of the Crop - is clearly identified.
OpenFloodgate is designed for publishers who want to showcase their latest releases, authors who wants a stage for new work, avid readers in search of the latest material, bloggers cruising for cool content, or agents looking for new talent.
Tina Seelig:
My passion is creativity and innovation. From earlier in my career when I studied neuroscience to my current job teaching entrepreneurship, I have always been fascinated with the creative process. I spend a lot of time generating and implementing new ideas and encouraging others to do the same.
I launched OpenFloodgate because I saw an opportunity to help writers and artists share their work with the world. This includes emerging talent as well as published authors and artists. Clearly, there are millions of people of all ages and nationalities who are generating fascinating work. My goal is to build an easier way for all of them to share their creations with those who are anxious to see them.
